Your Inner Fish- yes. I need that book. You have some amazing picks this month and I'm so looking forward to non-fiction November! It's such a great idea and I'm so glad that you made it a reality. :)

I can always count on you for being different than most Booktubers. I love your choices and I will be adding some of them to my TBR. Thanks.

Thanks so much for hosting NFN. I've already started 'Sapiens' and hope to also read The Silent Deep this month. Good luck with your TBR.

If you're interested in New Orleans I really recommend 'Five Days At Memorial' by Sheri Fink. It's a Nonfiction book about the Memorial Hospital just before, during and after Hurricane Katrina. As a transplant to New Orleans after the hurricane it taught me a lot about my city and how the storm forever impacted the people here.

I've written a super long comment and then I click something on my keyboard and my mac refreshed the page... urghhhh, in short now :) great choices, at least few of them sound fantastic. Our inner Fish, or Opium history also A natural history of the senses. Great great sounding titles. Good luck with non fiction november

Great book haul, I have added a few of them to my wish list. Like you, I am fascinated with New Orleans and hope to visit there some day. For that reason, Hungry Town was an immediate purchase for my Kindle :)

Ooo! Kicking myself for not watching this before I went to the library today to pick up my reserved nonfiction. Guess I'll be going back again sooner than I thought...oh torture! ;)

A Natural History of the Senses is fantastic! It is beautifully informative; and informatively beautiful. I also love The Moon by Whale Light by Diane Ackerman.

I picked up The Fire This Time by Jessmyn Ward at the library, considered my NFN TBR of Very Serious Subjects, then decided to also check out Tama Janowitz's memoir Scream, because I'm 80s NYC trash.

I read Diane Ackerman's The Zookeeper's Wife in August/September...loved it! Would love to read her other books. Not sure if I want to watch the movie though...

Ok, so, I definitely need the book on how to read Hieroglyphs. I am graduating from college in May with my degree in Archaeology, and Egypt is one of my dream places to work. You could say I am slightly obsessed with Egypt (I did an entire research paper and presentation on Hieroglyphs for a class last semester lol).

Because I'm disorganised, my TBR for NFN is going up tomorrow. Better late than never?? (In contrast, I couldn't wait any more so am already half way through one of my books. WHOOPS???)

I like your choices. I am soon going to Philadelphia. Having never been there, do you have any book shops that might be interesting in the downtown area? Thanks.
