Cloud Atlas is my favourite book! I love how the stories are intertwined by little details. And I liked the storytelling a lot more than how they did it in the movie where it jumped between the stories all the time.

Ahh, I read The Passage a couple years ago, and LOVED it. It's so complex, so you have to pay attention, but worth it. I'm going to re-read it sometime soon so I can tackle the second book.

Cloud Atlas is a slow burn. I didn't enjoy the process of reading it as much as I enjoyed getting to the end and going 'ah!' And even now, a year on, I reflect on the book and come to new understandings. I look forward to rereading it one day. Bone Clocks is my favourite Mitchell.

I have never come across my name in a book, I don't think? I don't recall it anyway. I would definitely buy one if it had my name as title.

The Passage sounded so much better in the bookstore than it ended up being. If you have trouble with it, feel free to let it go. I wouldn't recommend. But if you enjoy it that's great!

Common "Kidnapped and Catriona" is such classic as Treasure island)) I read it when i was a teen. It is a nice adventure, the narration is too thorough and detailed but this is Stevenson after all. I just loved old-fashioned dialogs and description of nature. It is totally worth reading.

My work book club is also reading Cloud Atlas this month. Hopefully its a good one.

I've read kidnapped long back. I think it was a nice story from what I remember. had a few great twists.

I've never read "Catriona" or "Kidnapped, " but I have read "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" and "Treasure Island" by R. L. Stevenson. I really enjoyed "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" but I wasn't as big of a fan of "Treasure Island" and I'm not sure why. It's been a while since I've read it and I honestly don't remember much of it. Though I'm sure one of the main reasons is because I grew up loving the movie "Treasure Planet, " which is based off that book, and while I was expecting a lot of differences, the main things I had hoped would have been the same were the characters and the relationships. They may have been similar, I honestly can't remember, but they were too different for me. "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, " on the other hand, I really enjoyed because of the writing and the characters, and I'm sure the books you got will have those same elements as well!
