Beautiful line from the book that accompanies this scene
"Sam's will was set. Only death could break it".

That's one scene where it doesn't matter how many times you've seen it.

Everyone needs a Sam in their life...and needs to be a Sam in the lives of others!

Frodo and Sam were both Ringbearer's but Sam was the only Ringbearer Bearer.

Peter Jackson cried during that take and knew he had it!

"I can see him with my waking eyes"

That delivery is just perfect. It's a crime nobody won an acting award for this movie, not even Sir Ian McKellen.

Not only is that scene well written by Tolkien, it’s also incredibly well performed by Sean Astin!

Howard Shore's score for the films was so perfect. The swell at this moment is just incredible.

That day, the halflings acted in such a way which proved to the rest of the world what Mithrandir already knew; that race or comnat prowess never dictates the size of a person's heart and determination. And we are all the better for it.❤

0:50 that zoom in on his face is such an iconic shot, walking into the mouth of hell with his friend on his back. Sean Astin will always be remembered for completely owning this role. Also the only time the "Into the West" melody plays during the score at 0:38 and once was perfect, the French horn used for the heroes. Howard Shore is a genius especially with the flute for the Shire music at 0:08.

This is in the top 3 Sam. This, his monologue at the end of The Two Towers, and “Po-tay-toes. Boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew!”

If you don't shed a single tear with that swell of the music as he hefts Frodo, you aren't human.

This scene just never ceases to be emotional! Also, I believe this is scene is where you hear the melody for “Into the West” for the first time which makes it even more emotional 😭
