In all honesty Halo 4 wasn't terrible. Yes, compared to Bungie's Halo games it was different and not as good in several aspects, but Halo 4 imo did have an intriguing multiplayer, and the story was actually well thought out. While Bungie wanted players to always be in the dark, that feeling of not knowing who the Chief was and making the story more about overcoming amazing odds, 343 wanted to dive into John as a person. If you didn't read the books then after three games you'd know more of the Arbiters motivations than John's. So I applaud 343 for fleshing out the character and making him feel more Human.

Was it done perfectly? No. Everyone expected it to be like Bungie's games, so it's not seen as highly. But on its own it is still a good game in its own right and brings a very deep story involving the Forerunners and how everything we thought we knew was changed.

But I can say that nothing will top Bungie's marketing campaign. Who ever was the lead on those projects deserves a fucking medal of honor. I get chills from Halo 3 and Halo 2 ads, and Halo CE was no slouch either considering its time.

I remember live streaming this. E3 2011 was pretty disappointing having Kinect forced down my throat.
Then I saw this - and I had goosebumps, the show ended and I was sat mouth open, feeling cold and amazed!

THAT - is how you do reveal trailers. Such powerful nostalgic emotions

I came back from high school and saw that Microsoft had confirmed the continuation of Halo, that emotion that I had I have not felt again, many did not like his story but for me it was the best
