TODAY IS LIKE CHRISTMAS! MY 71 OLDS CUTLASS CONVERTIBLE WAS DELIVERED TODAY.
FIRST THINGS FIRST AND WE NEED TO SEE IF WE CAN GET HER RUNNING.
HAS NOT BEEN STARTED IN ABOUT 5 YEARS.
FOLLOW ALONG AS I BEGIN THIS NEW PROJECT. NEEDS SOME TLC BUT PROBABLY LESS WORK THAN THE OTHER OLDS.
SHADE TREE MECHANIC AT HIS BEST WORKING WITH LITTLE ROOM BUT LOTS OF AMBITION.

Nice score, I have a 1972 sitting in the outbuilding. Brakes need to be bled on it too. Opened up the master cylinder a few weeks ago, and the rear reservoir was empty. I bought the car in 2009 after my Dad passed away in 2008. It was his. 2010, took the engine out, (Rocket 350) and had it completely gone through, needed new crank, 2 new pistons. Shop that did the work put in a CompCam 270D/501L camshaft in it and balanced the pistons. Runs pretty good. Used to take it to car shows, but haven't driven it in several years. Need to get it back out on the road. Good luck with your project.
