Great video - thanks for posting this. Was easy to follow and preform this repair which I did yesterday as my drain hose had started to leak due to a small rupture. I had no problem attaching the new hose to the air gap using the hose clamp from the old hose after removing it. The old hose did have quite a bit of water in it, as did the water housing so I needed a couple towels to dry out the bottom of the DW and the floor before I put everything back into place. Anyways everything worked out and the whole repair took me about half an hour.

I poked a hole on this cheap drain hose close to back of dishwasher. Can I remove cut out the leak spot and put that black rubber washer on new end spot on end of hose. And reinstall drain hose.

Did he install the old hose to the air gap at the end because he didn't have the right fittings? Sure is what it looked like.. this is my current problem... need a fitting that manual doesn't list

Why would someone install power outlet next to water line...?

Why do you scam people? You showed us how to change the new hose into the dishwasher but you used the old dirty drain house to connect it into the 5/8 inlet air gap. The reason he used the old one is- the new hose can't get connected to the inlet air gap without adapter or reducer.

The National Electric Code requires a GFCI/GFI to be installed in this application. I would be very cautious about the relevance of any information provided in this video.
