Thank you guys! I used this video and part to replace the drain pump on a Bosch Super Silence Plus 42 DBA that was throwing up an E63-02 error code. Getting the unit disassembled was quite easy, but putting it back together was hard. I had a hard time fitting the new pump in. I had to use plenty of dish soap on the unit itself, rather than the pump, and push quite firmly. I wish I'd taken a video of how I disassembled the unit so it would have been easier to put back together. I followed other commenters advice and used towels to clean up the excess water before disassembling the unit, so very little spilled out.

Thanks for the very detailed video. The only thing I would add is to bail as much of the water as you can before removing the pump. Lift off the spinner and remove the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher then use a sponge and turkey baster to remove all the water in the sump. When the water is out take a look at the pump impeller with a flashlight. If it doesn't turn easily with a finger you might get lucky and find there is just a piece of glass or something that is jamming it. Clearing the jam would save you having to replace the pump.

What a great video. Thanks so much. I tested it before reassembly just to make sure no leaks (would be harder to tell with the door back on). Wasn’t prepared for so much water coming out when taking the pump off. Should have removed as much as I could from the filter area first.

Thank you for the great video. My drain pump was starting to make a funny noise so I ordered a replacement from you guys and 3 days after receiving the pump finally gave out. This was a great step by step video on replacement Thanks!

When I removed the pump, a small piece of plastic came out so I reinstalled it and it works perfectly. I guess I have an extra pump if it goes bad. Excellent video!

Thanks for the video. Just replaced pump and probably saved $100. Toughest part was getting the door back on!

Thank you. I have successfully taken out the pump. I had to get all the water out first, I used a siphon hose.

We have a Thermador DWH650WFP, now ~3 years old. We hadn't been cleaning the microfilter as much as we should have, but we are now. There's a collection of oily residue on the filter which we clean out, which I believe is expected.

After opening it up recently, we found that the round reservoir that holds the micro filter has standing water in it. Is this normal? It never overflows past the flat fine filter so we never see water collecting in the bottom of the dishwasher. I evacuated the water, inspected the drain pump and took out the pump cover. I didn't see or feel anything blocking things. I manually touched the drain pump rotors and it seems to rotate freely. I replaced the pump cover without issues, thanks to your other video.

I ran a quick rinse cycle and inspected it again. It again had standing water within that round reservoir, about half full. Is this normal?

Only the three side screws and top corner screws hold the door panel. You can leave the top midge two screws which hold the control panel. Thanks for the clear video though.

I’ve been trying to get the drain pump lid on for the last couple days it’s like a half inch from the seating hole. Is there something I can do. I’ve destroyed my fingers as well as used pliers and screwdriver to push down but it’s down to the bottom won’t go anymore.

Hi there, how can I know if the drain pump is defective or good please? I measured the ohms resistance and it showed 91ohms between each phase. Also the propellor turned smooth. Appreciate any help 🙏

Ottima descrizione del procedimento. Attenzione, prima di cambiare la pompa di scarico, valutare la pompa di carico: se la lavastoviglie si è spenta durante il lavaggio, può essere perché si è surriscaldata la resistenza di quella.

Thanks. We did everything you said and bought your part but now when we go to run it, it turns on, it doesn’t beep at me letting me know it’s unhappy and LOOKS like it’s going to start a load. The numbers display :09 for a rinse cycle, but nothing happens. It acts like it’s running but nothing happens. We made sure to turn the water back on to it and the disposal is plugged back in. I would think either it would beep at me or I’d get an error message, but it just loops :09 to arrow and back and forth but never running. Any ideas???

I replaced the drain pump on my Bosch dishwasher and thought I should test it before putting the door skin back on. The dishwasher doesn't seem to fill with water, it just seems to run the drain pump

My drain pump in my Bosch dishwasher is turning (plastic fins are all there) but not draining water . The pathways are seemingly clean. Is it the rubber valve near this pump which is responsible? It seems intact. Thank you.
