I have been a cord cutter for some time and a YouTube TV subscriber for well over a year. I continue to find value in this despite evolution in the cord cutting offerings and costs. What do you think?

Thanks for posting. Just started that journey and did it almost 100% for Sunday Ticket (had DirecTV for 11 years just for this). Also the habits have changed over years and don't want regional sports and watch shows on own schedule other than NBA and NFL

Good video and a lot of great points. I just went through a YoutubeTV and Verizon FIOS evaluation and I ended up just keeping FIOS. Like you said, there is pretty much no cost savings anymore and while the 4k package is a huge plus, when comparing standard HD quality in my theater, I actually noticed a lot of compression artifacts in YoutubeTV whereas FIOS broadcast looked better. Also, I found that for some content, FIOS was broadcasting in 5.1 where YoutubeTV only had a stereo stream. So I ended up keeping FIOS for special live events and sports like you said. Maybe I will re-evaluate things again and hope that Youtube TV becomes more attractive with other benefits and quality improvements. Including Youtube Premium would be a nice touch too.

Another great video. Rural upstate NY here, only 1 hi speed provider, Optimum. Luckily they offer decent discounts. 300/20 internet and 275+ channels of cable for $123 monthly all in with one Samsung tv cable box. They have faster speeds of internet but i don't need them.

I agree on bundling YouTube tv with YouTube premium. They need to provide that.

I currently use YouTube tv and tried Fubo but the quality was terrible and varied from network to network. Plus the interface was buggy. It worked the best on an Apple TV. I cancelled it before the trial was over. I liked the idea of regional sports but again adds $14 a month.

YouTube tv is my recommendation to those I talk to. I agree on pricing that it's not a huge savings. It usually will be a savings for not paying for extra boxes and DVR functionality/space, regional sports fee, and a bunch of taxes.

We’re still on ATT/DTV stream. Have looked a changing in the past and right as I was looking YT did their price increase and lost MLB so I dropped it. Need to look into it again. We almost never watch traditional TV, but I do want access to the sports packages. There has to be a way to get a good deal out there somewhere. Just haven’t found it yet.

I've cut cable TV and internet streaming - YOUTUBETV/Netflix. Everything this getting expensive. I'm learning to enjoy Pluto TV.

I Germany you HAVE to pay for TV. Can't do anything against it😅 Okay, you can still decide where or if you want to watch private channels...

I got my mom an Apple TV but she’s not ready to switch away from her cable remote. It’s an ‘old dog, new tricks’ issue.

Recording is still clunky with streaming TV, as is fast forwarding and rewinding.

I’ve been a cord cutter for about 5 years now. Wouldn’t go back.
