Car have maximum acceleration at low speed . Curve between acceleration and velocity can be used for understanding the variation of acceleration with velocity . Time taken by the car for reaching particular speed can be calculated using newtons equation of motion and can be varied with different gearbox designs.
In this video you will learn :-
1) What is acceleration capacity of car ?
2) What is traction limited acceleration ?
3) What is power limited acceleration ?
4) How to calculate the time required by the car to reach particular speed ?

Hi, can I get some help with a problem I have like this one? I tried following the procedure in the video but since I corrected (we 398) to (we-398), after substituting we and Pe into the Fx equation im getting: Fx=(A-B*(CVx-D)^2)/Vx. At the end im getting weird results like negative time and such. A couple of other questions: Im using the power performance curve and friction force in watts and N instead of kW and kN and have a 1 in the numerator of the integral instead of 10^-3, is this ok? I also have only 1 gear, im using efficiency=1 and nd=1 but I cant get a correct result. I tried getting the Fx and we equations but I cant get to them... please help

3:31 your Pe equation is wrong
it's (We - 398)²
