America gave their word to Ukraine that they would protect Ukraine if Ukraine would give up their nukes back in 1994. Russia gave their word to Ukraine in 1994 that Russia would never attack Ukraine if Ukraine gave up their nukes. Ukraine should have told both countries to go pound salt. If Ukraine kept their nukes this war/ invasion would not have happened.
