City Confidential Returns To A&E Thursday, October 28 at 10pm ET/PT

Narrated by actor Mike Colter (“Evil”), each one-hour episode of “City Confidential” tells the story of one crime, the ensuing investigation, and the ripple effect it had on a community. Speaking with family, friends, detectives, journalists, and others close to the case, the series weaves together first-hand accounts and archival footage to explore the crime and its outcome. From a reclusive Amish farming community to a college campus in Washington DC to an upscale shopping district in Houston, the series travels across the country to examine a variety of cases, the history of the community and how these crimes had lasting effects on the local citizens.

I used to watch this, City Confidential, and when I learned they discontinued this show, I was disappointed, glad and very surprised to see that it’s back! Is it every Thursday at 10pm?

Paul Winfield was the best narrator. He had the best voice. Always will be. Obviously no one can replace his voice or his subtle piercing comments.

This case appears as a Robbery homicide, but; I believe there was personal issues. Robberies are usually random, but; depending on the traffic of customers. Careful criminals usually watch for a while before attacking a business. Those who pub near establishments are always suspects.

Season 7 & 8 are terrible. nothing about what made City Confidential so good is in the “revival”; depressing stories, bland narrator, no spice in narration stories, just another tragic episode after episode

I just watched the new 2021 episode of CC and I have to say it's the worst revival Did the producers of the 2021 edition even watch ONE Episode of the 1998 to 2005 edition? This show is now just another copycat of 48 Hours, Dateline or ID. The new CC discusses Oil City for 3 minutes and then the rest of the hour is just generic crime story fluff!!! One more thing, the narrator is SOOOO bland! I understand no one can replace the legendary Paul Winfield, but I bet Dennis Haysbert could have been available!!!!
