Left: draw distance too low
Right: draw distance WAY TOO HIGH. The right would look a lot better if the you could see everything in the city lines clearly and it get progressively foggy/ cloudier. Being able to see the whole game world looks too jarring and unreal

Sinceramente hubiera preferido que dejasen la niebla, el san andreas parecía francamente enorme gracias a eso, ahora se ve bastante pequeño.

Great comparison, as usual! When curious about a game, I tend to look your videos up just as I do with the ones from DigitalFoundry. As for the "Definitive" version: sad to see the missed potential.
Along with production constraints (bad QA at the very least), the team seemed to lack an 'art director' type of person that would spot the good things from the original and fight to keep them... There was a visual identity with small touches that were built intentionally while considering the technical limitations of the PS2 (like MGS2). So, when they 'upgrade' the draw distance and atmosphere system, the entire game map (that was considered HUGE and an integral part of the San Andreas fame) seemed small and square-ish. A small amount of haze (not a TUROK-like fog lol, but a gradual falloff along with a vertical "ground fog") would go a long way to add back a sense of immersion and character to the game.

The remaster isn't as bad as some people are making it out to be, they actually did a good job compared to other remasters (SSHD for example, they only changed textures and resolution and still costs $60 for just a single game), some 3D models were strange but in general I liked what they did.

I just wish it was running better on consoles, it's kind of weird that PS4 can't run this remaster at 60fps and Xbox One runs it at a lower resolution than GTA V, this remaster actually needs more optimization.

A veces se ve muy bien, a veces se ve horrible, pero si jala sin reventarlo de mods y sin bugs, por mi esta bien

Edit: Pues no, si había un montón de bugs.

In the remaster both San Fierro and Las Venturas are actually visible from Los Santos. That's kinda wierd

Some parts look like a great improvement but honestly they absolutely screwed up the draw distance in SA. That looks so ugly I cant even describe it…
