This is the mark of a good preacher. The ability to take an everyday scenario and turn it into a good spiritual lesson. I remember our priest once started a sermon telling us about taking the metro to visit some friends in the capitol, and turned it into a lesson about how Christ is alive in us whenever we do something kind to someone else for no gain or something like that. I forget exactly what the lesson was, but it's stuck with me for the past 7 years that he was able to weave a story into a sermon like that. Truly remarkable.

I lost my dog, very painful and I thank God daily for putting my big boy and I together. It more aptly represents how God takes care of our daily needs (our role) and the unconditional love given back to the one caring for you (the dog in this case). Comparing this to the devils tactics is cold to those who would do anything to have their dog sleep in their bed one more night.

Amen! Just as Songs 2:15 says: Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.

It's the little things we easily ignore and dismiss that then become huge problems. Remember the devil pokes and prods to see where he has entry in us, and when he finds it, he strategizes and starts to plant the seed of sin.

Only God can help us see the spiritual attacks of the enemy. May God help us anoint our eyes with eye salve, that we may see. And in seeing, be wise and take action to hunt those foxes in our lives. To God be all glory.
