My biggest enemy in this bossfight was the arena itself. It's very small and there are a lot of little nooks that you can just get stuck on if you're not careful. The fight actually got easier the longer it went because at that point the boss had destroyed most of the annoying pews/bookshelves.

I actually had the dumbest luck with this boss. I walked in, got demolished in about 30 seconds, but as I was in the middle of the death animation, he did a jump attack and when he came back down, he had just...killed himself. It said "Great Enemy Felled" and I never even had a chance to fight the thing.

I walked back into the room and there was the site of grace and my runes. In all honesty, it looked like he landed on top of a candle stick with one of his jump attacks and died. I was so confused.

The most annoying thing with this boss is just having to go through all the trash mobs on the way back to him. You can't even run past them because they just light you up with glintstone when your back's turned.

My lack of desire to use a shield really hurt me during this fighting. I first fought this prick in the wild so I had more space. But man, his attacks are hard to dodge

I play a DEX build with the Uchigatana held two handed. Tons of stamina for tons of rolling and attacking. I rolled into his attacks most of the time and got a hit off afterwards and he’d jump away from me. Super fun boss

Did it as a full sorcerer build with no shield. If you have the Meteorite staff and Rock Sling gravity spell this fight is a cake walk for a mage. I would however not recommend using pebble or stars. You will have to play immaculately for a long time because you will do very little damage. Just get the Meteor Staff and rock sling. Also you can get the mage talisman in the room right before the fight that gives you an extra boost to sorcery damage.

This guys has the tiniest window to heal. I kept falling into the loop of almost dead heal and get hit while healing animation then repeat.

get a shield, farm original banished knight armor set (takes little longer, but much easier to get than carian set and much stronger - I used secluded cell grace at stormveil, there is a mourning Banished Knight with a hawk that u can kill with 3 basic attacks, if you spin 180° when u arrive at grace, run out on the little door, running up onto the right side, jumping onto the wall rim at the end of the path, and follow that rim until you jumping into a double balcony. repeat as many as neccesary), get bloodhound's fang or omens cleaver, upgrade wolven ashes, and u gonna kill it by 5 heavy attack jumps, if you pressing L1 (normal, not parry or barricade defense) all the time when it is not clear to make one heavy attack jump at a time. Keep equipment load at medium, arsenal charm (talisman) can help with it, but change helm/gloves temporarily, if neccesary.

Lone Wolf Ashes +5 make really short work of this one. It's basically like if you send against him 3 mini version (as aggressive) of himself, minus all the casting. I assisted the wolves and ended the fight with only using 1 pot and still had 1 wolf full health, 1 close to dead and 1 dead.

If you’re a Strength build like I am and are getting rekt by this guy like I was, use the Skeletal Militiamen summon and the BloodHound Fang and a shield with Barricade Shield. Glintstone Crown and Carian Armor can help a little with the magic too. He immediately goes to aggro you after he’s finished being distracted by the skeletons, so you can get a hit in while they regenerate and block his quicker attacks (make sure you put on Barricade Shield while he’s fighting the skeletons). He spends too much time spamming his spells on the skeletons so you can just slash him on the side and dodge most of them. They’ll also give you time to heal.

This is my most hated boss in like 40 hours of Elden Ring ^^
I'm using a glass cannon build with 2 magic longswords and that Magic Bow Spell. I can't use the bow because he's too aggressive and he attacks so fast + dodgejumps back, I can't get my hits in time, they're too slow :(
I was only able to beat him with an Ash Summon who would tank him a short while ^^

worst part about this boss is the infinite spam cast dudes that you have to fight through to get to him. Literally as soon as they are activated to your presence they just spam the dog shit out of that spell over and over and over and over and over and over.

For any mages having trouble I beat him first time with three wolf summoning and using rock sling + meteor staff. Destroys the wolf

Maybe I was over-leveled for this fight because I swear I beat him in about 5 hits. Dual wielding Winged Scythe/Scythe jumping L1 wrecked him.
