Many many years ago I was in Virgie Kentucky. There was a small little honey hole I went to. It was public land but very discreet and hard to get to unless you took a very specific route on a bush trail. It was a bushwhack. I caught a 9.7 pound Muskie. I was 12 with my pops. I found it one day hiking. Best memory I ever had.

Just ask for permission before going on someone’s land and you’ll be fine. Most of the cop calls are for trespassing and they call them so if you hurt yourself on their property your mommy and daddy won’t sue.

Usually when I see kids fishing they’re armed and doing drugs and stealing you should call the police immediately

The literal only time this wouldn't be ok is if someone paid to fill the pond with fish. But if you're catching and releasing I see no issues there either
