Fans Furious at PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan, but Love Layden

The internet has been expressing its frustrations with PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan lately and expressing much anger toward him and his decisions about the PlayStation 5 and overall PlayStation brand. Meanwhile, Shawn Layden has been showered with love for his acts while the PlayStation 4 was dominating. Taking a look at the PS4 vs PS5 era it's interesting to see why Layden is loved and Ryan is loathed right now. Let's discuss.

As a fan of the Xbox since it was originally introduced at CES, it was hard to stay positive during the Don Mattrick era. Thank goodness Phil Spencer is heading Xbox now. It feels like Playstation is in the same boat right now.

I think it's plain to see that Jim Ryan is not a gamer. In a interview he was asked what he did for fun in his spare time. He never mentioned he was a gamer.

Sony currently feels very much like 2013 Xbox. Pretty clear hubris from being on top for almost a decade without much competition.

Also Sony pushing the normalization of $70 games at a time when games have so much microtransactions is pretty disgusting too.

If you go to IGN's post about this concerning focus on AAA games by sony, all the fans on there are saying "oh they're being paid off by Microsoft" or, "AAA games is all people want to play anyway". This is unhealthy.
