He should have gotten the Oscar for that role.

As a grown man and a dad, I have no shame saying I cried like a baby watching this movie.

Bro Mickey always keeps it a BUCK 💯. Man doesnt care about his surgeries, his ped use and went on to become a pro boxer AFTER he was famous.

Mad respect for admitting ped use. It’s so shameful watching a-listers deny over and over their obvious usage

His performance in this movie is something else.

He went ALL OUT to portray an aging wrestler and totally nailed that whole culture. Brilliant performance and movie.

fair play, at least we have one honest actor. Other clowns like Jackman, Hemsworth and Johnson are willing to let people that look up to them believe they do it naturally which is pretty sad.

He was a boxer, so he knows what it takes. Cool guy.

I met Mickey while at a night club in Vegas around 96. I’m around 5’10, 190 and trained in combat (defensive) sports, arts, etc. Mickey, Taller, bigger, looked great. The girls with us were head over heels over him. This guy was, is a classy dude, respectfull, sense of humour, and yeah, he looked like he could apply some heavy elbow grease on a deserving jerk or two. It was great meeting him, a decent dude that is semi of the Hollywood scene, but is his own guy! Harley and the Marlboro Man, that’s two of our best right there! Cheers!

Fun Facts: Mickey Rourke waa trained by Ring of Honor wrestling making him a legit actor turned pro wrestler.
The guy that sold steroids to Randy in the movie was a legit steroid dealer who was busted shortly after the film came out in real life.
This means Mickie Rourke WAS on gear for real, the dedication he put into this film is underappreciated 💯

This is why Mick is one of my favorite actors. Just kept it real about the gear.

Mickey will go down as a legend of legends when he's gone.

They're all going to come out of the woodwork and say how great he was.

I have been around gear my whole adult life, going back to the 80’s. Gear is only as good as the effort you put into it. It helps you recover faster between workouts, and allows the body what it needs to put on muscle only after you put in a killer workout, and it does not get rid of fat. Mickey put in the work.
