Cush Core XC install and Review. The Tire Insert for the rest of us!
I'm an average mountain bike rider. I don't race enduro or down hill but I try to squeeze the most out of my bikes and my rides. I considered some tire inserts but I honestly don't have an issue destroying rims or tires and try to keep my bike semi-light.

The suspension benefits of Cush Core were immediately aparrent. The damping kept the tires on the trail adding stability and massive traction. And at 150g (vs 250g for the Cush Core Pro version) was easier to accept.

Wow, that is pretty impressive. I am 6'2" and 235 lbs and have never been able to run under 28 psi in rear. Usually 30 on ebike and enduro bike.

Nice! I never really considered them until you explained it, now I want it! Need to swap out the rear tire soon, may just do it then

I’ve never flatted a front but I’ve done two rear tires. Maybe worth adding this on the rear next time I swap out tires. Thanks for the review.

DD or DH casing without cushcore works better then EXO casing with cushcore. Thicker casing prevents rim strikes and gives better damping. Not sure why everyone still likes thin tires with stuffed cushcore.

What size tires are you running? I'm running 2.4 and 2.5 in the front. It looks like the max tire size recommended for the Cushcore XC is 2.4.

What tire pressures did you run before the inserts?
