Dangerous Attraction.

The year is 1930, a time when the world is on the verge of major changes, but society still clings to more traditional habits. Mary worked as a seamstress at a local boutique and lived a simple life, but she always dreamed of more.

One day, Mary receives a marriage proposal from a man named Stefano, an important figure in town. He was the youngest son of one of the city's biggest mobsters and had a reputation for being ruthless. Mary was unsure about accepting his proposal, but she was drawn to his charm and good looks.

Mary and Stefano's courtship was not easy. Stefano's family did not approve of Mary and saw her as just another social opportunist. They'd made it clear that she wasn't welcome in their home, but Stefano wasn't fazed. He continued to see Mary and finally convinced her to accept his engagement.

Their engagement was turbulent, with Stefano often arguing with his family about Mary. Mary began to get glimpses of Stefano's true violent nature and became afraid. She knew that if she married him, she would always be in danger.

One night, Mary and Stefano were walking up the stairs of their mansion when they got into a heated argument. Stefano was drunk and therefore even more reckless than usual. Mary sensed that things were about to get out of hand. She tried to leave, but Stefano blocked her way.

In a moment of rage, Stefano lunged at Mary, but she managed to dodge his attack, but he lost his balance and fell down the stairs, rolling until he hit his head on the corner of the dresser next to the stairs downstairs. Mary was horrified and tried to help him, but it was too late. Stefano was dead.

Mary was accused by Stefano's family of the incident, but after being investigated, the local detective found her innocent. Stefano's family was furious and swore to make Mary pay for what she had done. The young woman was forced to hide from the other family members and henchmen.

Mary never forgot Stefano and the tragedy that befell them both. She always wondered what might have happened if they had met under different circumstances, but then there was also the fear of what might have happened if the marriage had been consummated. She knew she would never be able to escape the dangerous world Stefano was a part of. And he never showed any sign of wanting to leave the criminal world while he was alive.
