As someone who was helping out as a poll inspector for the primary elections here in Florida, I was shocked there weren't that many people going out to vote.

I lived in South Africa for 5 years and I learned a few things. One, If a man has nothing he has nothing to lose and your life means absolutely nothing. Two, even if you are armed, a pack of wolves can and will over take you and use your own weapon against you. Three, operate during the morning hours and when the sun starts to set you need to be on your way or at your destination OR the likeliness of a bad interaction increases. Four, you have to be ready to defend your life at all times of the day and night. This means being in the mindset to defend yourself or others and be willing to go to the end with a criminal. Five, their is strength in numbers. Just like impala in the bush, the more eyes the more likely you will see a criminal and he won't act, just like a lion in the bush.

NOW...This took me less than 2 minutes to write because Its is a hardwired behavior that I learned living in one of the most dangerous cities in the world...Johannesburg South Africa.
