Why is everyone complaining that it's not a real lightsaber. You really think we've come as far to stop light to a certain length and make it deadly enough to slice through metal. Just fucking appreciate the time and effort this guy put into this. I respect this guy.

For the ring to release fuel, you could use a spring so that if you let go, the fuel stops releasing. This way you won't need a ring. Just a suggestion but great video! Keep it up c:

I was thinking in my head, while watching the video, either a small propane torch attached to the handle, or a 9v battery, connecting to two wires, that are spaced apart, so when you turn the battery, an electric current jumps through the air, igniting the fuel.

I built my valve setup in a pretty sketchy way. There were some glued parts that were risky if they came off... Really glad you released the 3D files, now I can finally film my video SAFELY. :). Thank you!

actually it would be wiser to have valve open by pulling and closed by pushing as pushing is way more intuitive way of operating stuff like that and that means if you panick out or something soes wrong your first instinct will be to push on it, also if ring break you may have some problems closing it so that should be done that way

I think the push-off orientation for the syringe valve would make much more sense. If you accidentally drop the lightsaber, there would be a fair chance of it shutting itself off, and if the ring snaps off somehow while the thing is on, you'd be able to shut it off again.

To the person that's making the light saber you can design the ring switch to be flush against the hilt vertically so it you would still be able to push and pull on it to activate it

Word to the wise, never ever mess with open flames or the like while wearing rubber or latex gloves like that. If something goes wrong you will regret it when the gloves melt into your flesh. I speak from experience and 3rd degree burns that could have been easily avoided with leather gloves. Remember safety first and think about possible accidents before they can happen and ruin your day, or possibly your entire life!
