I'm really happy to hear that Queens of Innis Lear was a book you liked! I've eyeballed it every time I've gone into Barnes and Noble in the last couple of months but have been hesitant as I usually am with retellings.

And with regards to the content, I must confess I'm not familiar with any of these authors or titles, but I'm definitely adding them all to my wishlist, thank you for the recs! Funnily enough, like the earlier commenter, I'm also making my way through the Wheel of Time series. Slowly. So good, but so very very very long. I really shouldn't complain.

For a fantasy series, I'd have to say The Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan. For a single volume fantasy, it would be Weaveworld, by Clive Barker...although the two couldn't be more different.

Have you read anything by James Islington, Brandon Sandersons, Michael J Sullivan, Patrick Rothfuss or Scott Lynch? Personally I love Epic and High fantasy but I haven't heard of any of the books you mentioned.
