The Way of Kings for sure. I liked not knowing what I was getting into. Made it harder to have expectations get in the way.

Fantasy is my favorite genre, so I tend to get carried away and buy all the books in the series before even seeing if I like the first one lol. To finally get through some of the completed fantasy series on my shelf, I need to read The Lumatere Chronicles, The Selven Realms Quartet, The Mistborn Trilogy, The Girl of Fire and Thorns Trilogy, and The Winner's Crime and The Winner's Kiss.

It's totally ok not really knowing what Way of Kings is about. You only scratch the surface in the first one, but I know you'll love it! My husband actually just finished re reading Night Angel (he doesn't re read books except Sanderson) and loves it. I need to get to it as well

Oh there are so many books I need to get around to. Fantasy wise I need to read the magician, skullduggery pleasant (before the second series comes out.), the mortal instruments and so many more that have been sitting on my bookshelf for years.

A fantasy book with great court Intrigue and politics is Elantris by Brandon Sanderson, plus the magic system is great. You will definitely like it if you loved Mistborn!

The Way of Kings is SO GOOD! Just listened to the Graphic Audio version (an audio adaptation with a full cast, music and sound effects.) It really is massive in scope, and the characters are fantastic. Also, the implications for the Cosmere are mind-blowing. Hope you enjoy it when you read it!

I'm reading Crowns Game right now!! It's absolutely amazing. The writing is beautiful, and I am completely intrigued by how it's set in Russia (don't see that a lot in YA novels). Loving the characters (although I'm sure I'm the only one who doesn't want the main characters to get together, so currently that's my only issue with it). This book has easily become one of my favorite YA novels

The Way of Kings was my first ever epic fantasy read. I found a copy of the hardback at a thrift shop for $2 one day so decided to grab it. It took me about 100 pages to get into it and after that it was an amazing read. I read around 150 pages a day for a week. Smile spren were flittering all around when I read it that week.

I need to read Ready Player One, the rest of the Bloodlines series (I'm currently almost done with the Indigo Spell), Ignite Me, the last half of Lady Midnight, The Wrath and the Dawn, The Darkest Minds, Harry Potter, A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Girl on the Train, Just one Day, all of Gillian Flynn's books, An Ember in the Ashes, The Siren, Hush Hush, The Eye of Minds. And that's just scratching the surface of my tbr pile.
