I heard this for the 1st time yesterday on our radio concert programe & was totally bewitched by the haunting melody. I must confess, The Godfather Movie has never interested me, however after being blown away by this piece, I will ensure I watch it (movie), then, I hope, by putting the two together in my mind, the movie will not be as daunting as I have always imagined it to be (gruesome deaths & gangster revenge).. My father bought a music box when I was a kid. It has this melody music. I was very much attracted but never knew it was from a movie.

The story, acting and direction combined with this background music made a masterpiece decades ago which is still fresh and etched in the mind. After Sonny died, I was compelled to think why people (around me) behave in a manner and that we just cannot change people. Lets accept everything that comes because even the strongest man in US at that time could not change his fate.
