The 2014 Super Bowl shed some light on the reality of human trafficking in New Jersey, where activists continue to raise awareness on this modern day slavery crime. Whether it be sex slavery or forced labor, this crime can victimize any gender, race, age group, or socioeconomic status. Community leaders have come together to discuss ways of eliminating human trafficking and training community members to become more aware.

Host, Weaam Ali, sits down with Dr. Esmilda Abreu-Hornbostel, director of equity and diversity, who has initiated the campus coalition against human trafficking at Montclair State University, and Dr. Nicole Bryan, director of corporate social responsibility initiatives on campus, who has also received a grant from Microsoft to study the role of technology in preventing human trafficking.
