I just downloaded the first public beta for iOS 18 on my main device from my previously installed latest iOS 17 version and paradoxically my battery life has improved.

I updated my main device (15 Pro Max) from iOS 17.5.1 to the iOS 18 public beta, and it's quite stable. Everything is working, including my payment apps, UPI, all banking apps, and my work apps. I haven't noticed any battery drain, nor can I say the battery life has improved—it's about the same as before. It's a pretty good update, so if you want to try it, go ahead and update. ✅

I read specifically in the Books app! Opening my books is my action button on my iPhone and I love reading on my iPad. Seeing that Line Guide update sounds so sick and can't wait to read with it! Thanks for covering the Books app updates!

Im on an iPhone 12 running the public beta and safari crashes for me multiple times a day. And it has been lagging more than it ever did on iOS 17, it rarely lagged on 17 actually. Looking forward for an update soon because it doesn’t feel stable at all.
