I've just realized an interest in slingshot shooting. I was wondering if these types are better or worse or harder to shoot than the ones with the wrist brace? Great primer on aiming !thanks.

"Better, or worse, or harder" - well, if you're a youngster with insufficient strength in your hands/wrist, a braced slingshot would be a good choice. However, if you're an adult, you should have enough strength to hold it well, especially if you place your thumb and index fingers on the fork, as high as necessary to do the job of stabilizing the slingshot. It's easier to start with a braced model, but if you're an adult, why bother carrying something that cumbersome?

OK I did a wee bit of drinking last night, so this morning I came backto see if you were as good as I thought you were. YOU ARE. Good greif you could kill a man. I just got a Barnett, I'm 38 so I've did this before. Blow guns pellet guns throwing knives I got them allWhen I was a kid I had a sling shot with this little circle on it interchangeble from right to left. I just got the concept. I gotta sharpen my aim, bought a slingshot the other day cause theres a Rat thats too smart for poison livin under the deck but I found out i cant aim for Sheit, mines more of the Surgical tubing type so itll be hard to draw an aim line on er

but that is not an, over the top shooter.. how are the bands attacth to the forks?

Simple. When you are shooting in the company of your wife, use a braced slingshot. When shooting alone, or with buddies, "man up" and leave the Forrest Gump braces behind. Problem solved.

You really don't need an anchor point - witness Rufus Hussey "doesn't matter where this hand is", or Torsten - they don't use "anchors". Just keep practicing diligently, and eventually it'll all "click". Hint: Stay with one slingshot and don't change the ammo. After you learn the mechanics and you're pretty good, you can experiment.

@we66y357 lol, it was a joke on the forum and everybody called it violet hahahahaha, seriously a good way to shoot though, but no good for hunting cuz the rabbit would have done one by the time u aimed hahaha, the shoots the 29th of this month, i'm gonna get a couple of weeks practice in with this method

I line up the band with the target and use your brain to estamite where its going

Just get a pellet gun and go for headshots.
