The Voyager 1 has been making its way through outer space for over 4 decades now, and in that time, it’s gone above and beyond its initial mission. The spacecraft was only expected to survive for 5 years, but it’s proven all estimates wrong.

But now, it’s gone a step further.

Voyager 1 just detected unknown objects, passing by in Space, and well, it’s changed everything.

Join us as we uncover what these unknown objects were, and how it might change the way we’ve looked at data, forever.

So they can get signal from something that’s 11billion miles away built in the 70s but my iphone doesn’t get signal in my hallway 😢

I'm so impressed that space probes built in the 1970's are functioning way beyond their designed life. Apparently some people really cared when they designed & assembled these things. I have doubts that anything built today would be anywhere near as reliable as these Voyager craft have proven to be. I'm reasonably sure that all components were actually manufactured here in the US. We still had domestic manufacturing capabilities then, before we dismantled our industrial base & sent production capabilities out of the country. I would really like to see our country become great again, instead of a great big joke we have today.

Didn’t say anything about 300 objects.

As I get older..I don't think anyone really knows what's going on

Fun fact:
Takes 20 hrs and 33 minutes for a radio signal to reach earth from Voyager 1.

Well, with the humans' thought from today, I'd rather be travelling alone in a spacecraft like the voyager probes, just contemplating the magnificent universe than watching what the humanity is turning into nowadays...

I love the fact that Voyager 1 is still rolling along....

That we’re able to receive transmissions from that far away is in itself, incredible.

I'd love to get a photo of what the craft looks like now after decades of deep space damage

Why are these world changing events only ever mentioned on you tube?

You said background noise affects Voyager 1's data transmission. I swear I heard either an astronaut or phyisis on a pod cast say there's no noise in the the vacuum of space

When it isn’t working just reboot. Even 40 year old computers.
