It's so important that we sent this out. If we die within the century, at least in 50, 000 years a system with planets will receive a strange visitor with a message in a bottle from a distant star. Imagine if there is a developing civilization there like us, and we proved to them that they're not alone. Even if we're dead, that will be worth it all.

It's stunning to think that voyager 1 has been in space for about 45 years. For everyone, that represents many of our years and memories. From a greater distance each second, it looks back at it's home, and tells us about cold space. Everything that we have all gone through for the last half century, Voyager has been looking down on us. I hope we can all appreciate how amazing that is, and how sad it will be when voyager stops functioning.

Human beings cannot fathom the sheer distance between earth and the voyager 1. And to think that this is like the length of a grain of sand when compared to the universe. Fascinating stuff.

If you feel alone, just think about Voyager 1. It was alone in the last 46 years, farther, than anything, that we ever built (probably), and it's still working, and going down to the endless space.
