Many helpful insights! It is very important that you want to take control on a sales call, but not in a manipulating way. And listening more than talking combines with asking the right questions is crucial.

It is also very important to know that you don’t need to just take on anyone. You only want to bring in the clients who value you as their coach. Giving free advices not only causing you the sale, it is also doing a disservice to the person who you could’ve helped/saved.

Selling is not dirty 🚫 Selling is being compensated to solve people’s issues.. nothing bad about that. If what you offer is valuable and coming from a good place, people will be HAPPY to give you money!

If you are really scared of selling and are constantly offering free advice you are probably a very giving coach. Which means you are probably worthy to sell

Happy Sunday! Before I start this video I was a little bit hesitated since I don't know what a sales call really is. Supper grateful for all the tips in a order that make sense. I used to be so terrified with sales calls when I worked in sales. I felt so annoying to people because I know how it feels to get called like that. Then after doing hundreds of calls I got more relaxed and made it sound more genuine. Great video Vanessa!

Love the tips on setting the stage from the start - I'm so excited + same page + you are interested in potentially working together - to get alignment + agreement! Def have fallen to me being BFFS / but quickly learned to shift to being friends but still biz elevated.

Didn't really struggle with being afraid they wouldn't like me. Def relate to being mindful of how much I speak + how much I listen.

One of the BEST compliments I got after YEARS of intentionally working on this incl a podcast guest telling me that I just may be the BEST listener ever. I told her OMG for her to say that is literally stating a miracle has happened lol!


For sure, road map, expectation of 90 days ish etc

Practice is so key! Always learning + many things coming to fruition now just from persistence, patience, humility, and shifting!

Be careful of overkilling imposter syndrome . I know the feeling of being taken advantage of clients when you treat them as a friend. However, don’t overkill it with too much “I’m the expert” attitude. The moment they smell a slight a condescending tone, you lost them forever. At the end of the day, they are the clients and they deserve respect.
