This is my favorite homemade fish tacos recipe. With seasoned pan-seared white fish, crunchy ribbons of slaw, avocado, and creamy homemade fish taco sauce. Huge on flavor and easy to make!

THINGS YOU’LL NEED:
FOR THE SLAW:
1/4 small head of red cabbage shredded
1/4 head small green cabbage shredded
1 roasted jalapeno peeled and chopped
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
Juice from 1 large lime
2 tablespoons champagne vinegar, or use white vinegar as a substitute
1 tablespoon honey
Sea salt to taste
FOR THE FISH TACO SAUCE:
½ cup mayo
½ cup Mexican crema or use sour cream
1 tablespoon lime juice, about ½ a small lime
1 teaspoon of your favorite hot sauce, sriracha is great here
1 teaspoon garlic powder or 1-2 fresh cloves minced
Pinch of salt
FOR THE FISH TACOS:
1-1/4 pounds red snapper sub in your favorite white fish
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
6 flour tortillas warmed
1 avocado sliced
EXTRA TOPPINGS:
Sliced roasted jalapeno peppers or chiles toreados fresh squeezed lime, your favorite hot sauce

There is a fish taco place in Oceanside, Cali. that makes them JUST LIKE THIS! EXCEPT, they put some pico de Gallo on top! I MISS THAT place. I forget the name as it was 23 years ago that we used to eat at it. Now, living in AR. we make our own JUST LIKE THIS! GOOD STUFF! Thanks for the memories of California Oceanside!

This looks amazing, I'm excited to try it! I tried your blackened fish recipe months ago and it inspired me to start cooking. I've made the blackened fish tons of times and it's now one of my wife's favorite meals! I also use your blackened seasoning recipe in burgers too. Amazing. Like the video, you can put the sauce in one of those inexpensive squeeze bottles for extra effect. Also you might try blending an avocado into the fish sauce, more deliciousness! Thanks mike,

works well with asian rice paper wrappers for those that do not like tortillas throw in some shrimp with the fish,

This sounds fantastic. Also versatile. Very nice I'll be trying this soon! Love El Salvadorian cream. It's even richer than the Mexican crema.
I used your videos to make my own lacto fermented hot sauce, (thanks!) it was SOOOO good, my favorite hot sauce! I made what I thought was a ridiculous amount, but it went fast! We had it on everything. If I had to buy some my favorite brands is El yucateco. Their black sauce 🖤 Do you know how they make it or have your own black sauce yet?
