Day 4 of Shiksha Saptah at St Agnes School (CBSE) in Mangalore resonated with a vibrant celebration of India’s diverse cultural tapestry. The school was alive with a plethora of artistic and cultural events, fostering a lively and festive ambiance. Students highlighted their skills through creative stage presentations, showcasing folk songs and dances from different states, along with extending a traditional and welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, they engaged in painting and displaying traditional artefacts, providing a tangible experience of India’s rich heritage
Teachers and students joined forces to showcase traditional attire, culinary delights, and cultural customs representing various Indian states. The presentation included a village setting, offering students a glimpse into rural life, and featured street plays and puppet shows through which they could impart their learnings. A highlight was the traditional serving of meals on plantain leaves, enriching students’ comprehension of diverse customs and traditions. These immersive activities provided students with a broad exposure to the rich arts, cultures, and languages spanning the nation.
The events served to enlighten students and ignite their interest in varied cultural customs. This endeavour was designed to nurture unity and enhance the relationship between educators and learners through the acknowledgment and commemoration of India’s rich cultural legacy.
