WILD VIDEO: Fearless cat at faces off with coyote: ‘He was a fighter’

A crazy encounter between a cat and coyote was caught on video Thursday, with the feline just narrowly escaping.

I’m not a cat person but that made me quite emotional - the way the cat literally fought with everything he had to stay alive. It came so close a few times but he kept fighting!!!

That cat has no front claws notice it can not climb and it’s front paws could not grip. Never declaw a cat if it will spend any time outside.

Doesn't matter how big or small you are. If backed into a corner? Don't cry, don't beg. Just fight. Fight like you wanna live. Do not leave it up to your aggressor to decide if you live or not.

So glad the kitty fought back and survived. This is why my cats are backyard cats under my supervision. We have coyotes, eagles and foxes where I live, couldn't let this happen to mine.

Years ago a German Shepherd was going after my mom's small dog. My cat jumped on the shepherd's back, bit him in the ear and rode him like a pony to the property line! My cat walked proudly back, tail straight up in the air! He did his job and protected the family! Kitties can kick ass too!!

I think that was a young cat, maybe 6-10 months old. That makes it even more impressive, that was a fight for its life.

My grandfather lost 3 cats to coyotes in Southern Cali. Coyotes are looking for food. You want your pet to get eaten?? Pet cats should always be kept indoors. It is not only safer for them but healthier.
