I am going to continue covering topics like this and telling peoples stories that are important to me. This is only ONE of the over 200 contestants that I've talked to, many of them with similar stories. As time goes on I think more stories are going to continue to come out about peoples injuries, lack of medication, lack of food, unclear rules, a lack of enforcement of said rules, inorganization, rude staff, and much more.

I am going to continue to cover these types of stories. I have talked to over 200 Beast Games contestants, many of which have also suffered injuries. It is important that their voices are heard.

The fact that people saw her kicked, possibly passed out, and NO ONE screamed for a paramedic kills me.

"Your mind only has room for so much emotion, fill it with excitement, there won't be room for fear" That's beautiful.

It shouldn't be controversial for someone to voice that they got injured. That's so sad that some people are afraid to speak out about that. 😢 Thank you, Amanda, for speaking out.

"Pardon my emotions"
Absolutely not. Taking emotion out of people's horrendous situations IS the root problem.

I also had an undiagnosed traumatic brain injury and only figured out when I had a seizure 5 years later. As soon as I saw my mri I knew when/what happened and so much about that time of my life finally made sense. It’s so easy to be gaslit into thinking your injuries are no big deal; women’s pain particularly is so frequently downplayed or flat out ignored. The production needs to be held accountable for their negligence, thank you for sharing your story!

A reminder for everyone: AMAZON DOES NOT CARE IF YOU WATCH A SHOW OUT OF HATE, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THAT YOU WATCHED IT. DON'T GIVE BEAST GAMES OFFICIAL VIEWS. RAISE THE PIRATE FLAG IF YOU MUST.

When I was 25 I got a concussion- it is NO joke - even though I am young and healthy I still have sensitivities around light, and get easier headaches. I never used to get headaches easily. It would be VERY rare for me to have a headache - it is uacceptable she had to go through all this

So glad you are still covering this. I was worried that after some negative videos, it would get lost in the shuffle

My younger sister (18, 4’9, 90lbs) was on beast games, got run over by two bigger men, squished, passed out and given a concussion during one of the first challenges. They gave her a snack to eat and sent her BY HERSELF without medical to her hotel room.
Ridiculous.

It upsets me that they use the liability waiver as an excuse to ignore basic safety rules.
A reasonable person would only sign such a document if they believed that basic safety protocol would be in place.

The fact that there was little to no oversight... the whole situation is... disgusting.

For anyone who says that Mr Beast just couldn't have known how things would go: most of film school is learning about how to safely film things. Anyone with any formal experience, be it school or professional industry experience, knows there are safety precautions you have to follow. It's the productions that don't follow them that get people hurt, or worse.

He said in the Oompa interview that different people react differently to the same situation, so how could he have known that things would be a problem for Jake Weddel? Well, interestingly enough, that was a conversation we had in a class that was dedicated to safe and ethical media production practices. You know different people will react differently to the same situation, so you have standards to make sure no one is exploited. We specifically talked about this concept in the context of filming intimate scenes, but it is rather concerning that it now applies to a YouTuber's production studio.

If students have this stuff lined out for them in a class (and this was several years ago at this point), you can’t claim it's mystical knowledge that no reasonable person could foresee.

I really dont understand why Mr Beast is capitalizing on Squid Games and its whole concept, and can get away with it. The point of the show is to portray how much Capitalism sucks and is very dystopian yet he views it as a fun little project that you could recreate irl without the killing yet completely disregard the other important aspects to have on survival shows like basic necessities, healthcare, fostering fairplay. Dude is a complete villain.

As a youth sports coach, the lack of safety measures or ACCOUNTABILITY resulting in so many injuries makes me When winter break is over, I’m going to highlight the importance of following game rules to maintain safety. The thought of one of my male students tackling a female student makes me livid. Unacceptable.
