2:48 - I always found it odd that Pete, being Jim Douglas's own nephew, wouldn't know anything about Herbie, or at the very least he would have known or talked to DJ about Jim's racing career. I always imagined he'd have been introduced to Herbie as a kid or that Jim would have probably even given him rides in Herbie. Unless Pete's father / mother had an estranged relationship with Jim, didn't want him following Jim into racing and/or kept Pete out of Jim's life until now. Seems very odd.

At 1:14, how did Paco know that Herbie was going to protect him to keep him hidden?  Imagine as soon as that cop came out of that store and Herbie started honking to get that cop's attention and then opens the hood to show where Paco is.
