Backgrounds is now Tilesets 10:46 in GMS v2022.8.1 if that helps anyone. Thanks for the great tutorial. It still works in 2022.

Haha followed a platformer tutorial where collisions didn't work too well so I came here and it's the EXACT SAME CODE.

we could use the or with lkey rkey and jkey couldnt we and have each var also support gamepad as( well as keyboard couldnt we)?.

I am not able to select or see the 'tile_brick' at my TILES tab at the room creation ( minute 11.13 of the video )

awsome start looking forward to this growing cant wait : ) wouldnt it be quicker to just do something like lky rky etc etc instead of left_key etc since you might have to write these vars many more times in the future?.
ill be watching these lessons with much intrst.

Hey whats up, so i'm really confused i just switched over from Unity to GameMaker because i want to learn other engines and im using GM2 and cant seem to find what im supposed to use to drag and drop a box for code, do u know what it's called in gm2 or anything? or do i have to make a project using code only?
