Love, love, love your videos!! I'm on a break from my tech industry career right now, but I plan to get back to it soon. And this seems like the worst time for me to try it. It's so scary watching the tech industry updates in recent weeks.

But after watching all your recent videos reg layoffs, I feel a bit more optimistic. I was thinking how I should self-reflect more and work on my skills rather than worrying about something I've no control over(like how worse it would go before it gets better, would I be able to get back to a job I love with so many laid-off people in the market, should I compromise on what I love to do vs which job is easy to land now, etc). Thank you for giving me hope.

Esp seeing your roadmap in the recent video gave me inspiration. Even if I don't get a job with something I'm really interested in right away, I will still hold on to my dreams and will have the AUDACITY to do something about it.

You're amazing! Looking forward to your next video and what your road map leads to.❤😊

This is smart. You're like Prof G. - but with better hair. Seriously though, as someone who works in tech sales (developers love me, I swear) this is high quality content. Appreciate the time and effort that you put into this. This channel is going places and you'll be able to leverage its success outside of YT should you so choose.

Hi Delia,
thank You for Your great content and also for the extra effort You spent on the visuals. Recording different camera angles and also the overlay of the slides on the whiteboard from two angles.
You also can get a notice in Germany. As far as I know, the only difference is, it has to be a little bit more in advance than in the US.
Best regards, Ralf

i'm programming for more than 1 year by now, and my only regret is to not had learned before, since i really feel the same joy as playing games.

i believe this moment will make a lot of people give up, since a lot of personalities came in during the boom, including me. But since companies tends to repeat mistakes, i will not be surprise to see another huge hiring wave on the next years, with companies stocks going to the sky again.

The only sadness i feel is the tendency companies has to label ppl capacity to do something, because lot of us don't need 3+ years to be minimum productive in something. It's like: "So YOU want now do decide when i'm good or not in the game i'm really enjoying to play? Thanks sir, but no. Time is not measure the same for everyone sir". I don't need 1 year of chatGPT just to extract the info i want for example.

Exponential earnings of what? There's a deposits and credit markets. After a company reaches certain size make and increase and decrease money as and when one wants.

I think it has to do with inflation and covid. things are just getting more difficult. Plus chat gbt displaced a lot of jobs. Its just an excuse of big companies to trim the fat. Did you even check the accounting of these companies.

Ppl in big trouble: folks with BA's who call themselves engineers and ppl who took a five-week coding bootcamp who call themselves engineers. Ppl not in a lot of trouble - ppl who graduated from actual engineering programs and who are actual engineers

I think there's a problem with you all "IT Influencers": There's only Google, Meta, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon - nothing outside of these options - some of you maybe consider "start ups", but there isn't anything in the middle. I work in a large insurance company in London - 60k+ employers around the world, and my Team in the last year increase from 14 to 35 members, all the promotions and bonuses are on place - the salary is very good (maybe not as good as Google): But there's no layoff. Stop thinking only in Google or Apple, the world is more than that...
