HELLDIVERS™ 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.

Boarding actions are my top want. The idea of just careening into the side of a ship, then going ham on the inhabitants, perhaps to turn the ships guns on the enemy or to destroy comms equipment or something sounds epic. Silenced weapons, a compound bow with different ammo types, swords, and a melee focused exosuit would all interest me too.

Space battles would be THE SHIT! Can you imagine Helldivers need to attack a planet but must get past the orbital defense first? So first day of each planet attack we have to have space battles then boarding battles? Maybe wed get some special hellpods that have highly penetrative lasers so we dig deep inside enemy ships and disable them from inside then extract through their own hangar bays!

You know what we really need? The ability to climb/mantle cars. It's odd to me that we just don't have that.

A starship troopers collab would actually make sense if Meridia is actually a wormhole. Could play it out as if some starship troopers came through from their dimension and had a mini team up with the helldivers since a lot of bugs are similar to the terminids

Was playing a match last night, where we needed to get the black box, two disconnected and never came back. So it was me and another 150. It was the my first intense fight with the squids, as we kept getting the tripods, at a total of 4-5 five at that location. They are starting to come in force, we completed the mission.
