Hello guys welcome back to another video. In this video I want to explain 10 reasons why I use Unreal Engine 4, and why I haven't switched to any other game engine. Hopefully this helps people who are trying to figure out if Unreal Engine is for them! The project in the thumbnail if you are wondering, is a sneak peak of my next game! (coming soon)

If you are new on your UE4 journey, here are some tutorials and resources:

I tried to learn unity before unreal, and honestly I've had way more fun in unreal, unreal engine 5 in particular is an absolute game changer

I remember using UE about 4 years ago and i was so turned off from it that I went to another engine, and now I see they really are doing amazing things.

Thank you very much for these infos.
I started trying ue4 a few weeks ago.
Imho it is very complex and overwhelming in the beginning. On the other side I also think that it could definitely be worth to do all the

I fail to understand why everyone says Unreal is hard to learn. I started with Unreal a few weeks ago and am already learning to make simple games. I'm finally able to make the game I have been dreaming of making, simply because Unreal makes multiplayer basically automatic. Unity always confused me, and Unreal Engine is so fun and easy to use. Thanks for being the first person to tell everyone that Unreal is not hard to use.

Everyone always said multiplayer was hard, you had to send a receive packets, and I was discouraged and thought I could never make this game until I tried Unreal. Its replication features are the best.

Really good video. I'm wondering if one can build a high quality game with only blueprints ? Like a very complicated RPG stuff, with lots of dialogue.
I want to learn how to use ue5 so that I can build my dream game like 10 years later.

used Unity and UE for over15 years and I find I just don't open unity much anymore and Unreal has always been easier to use than any engine for me and I've pretty much used them all.

As someone with no game dev or programming experience, I went with UE4 for my first game because of blueprints. While I think Unity is a phenomenal engine, I think theres an echo chamber (tinted with some elitism) that has caused folks to think UE4 is difficult. To me, it has been a joy to use and progressively learn.

Tbh as a graphic designer that loves clean interfaces and is used to watching Unity tutorials, Unreal is definitely not clean. The skeumorphic icons and layout is extremely overwhelming

The only reason why i use unity is because of c# and i love programming but the only reason i hate unity is because of their lack of good multiplayer system

I program everything in C++ such as node dialogue system, character, and inventory, and expose static functions to easily use the systems in blueprints. Blueprints can be really messy and unoptimized. Running blueprints is like running Java. Java is not native code so it's far slower than C++. A good tip is that the bigger the blueprint graph (Each connection) the slower it is. So it's best to make smaller modular blueprint classes. This does not even take into account what the logic is.

literally the only reason i want to use unity is for C# :(
