How to Easily Calculate Cross Currency Rates 👍

Calculating foreign exchange cross-rates:

What is a cross? Many years ago if you wanted to convert Pounds into Yen, you first needed to convert it into Dollars and then convert those dollars into Yen. However times have changed and nowadays we have the crosses which means that we can bypass that USD transaction.

Crosses examples (common them is that there is no USD component):
GBP/JPY
EUR/JPY
EUR/CHF
EUR/GBP

We have GBP and we want to convert them into JPY
GBP/USD = 1.296
USD/JPY = 110.54
GBP/JPY = 1.296 x 110.54 = 143.26

So you can see how all this is interrelated and you can see how banks use arbitrage to maximise their profits.

Banks have algorithms that can detect these arbitrary opportunities in milliseconds and have the access to inter-dealer markets and make quick action on these scenarios. We retail traders have access to secondary ECN venues where you are sure to find unfavorable conditions… I want to test is the difference between broker quotes & plot the spread size and time series data in search for anomalies but this seems like another good investigation. UK spread educatinal exchange rate listen up here: There is a formula for calculating valua and that sound well blocking final result and throw people´s money out, for example you have your own currency let say POUND = amount to be excanged * kurs/100 .Example 300.000 pounds you want to excahnge them in dollars that you put the dollar curs dived with 100 and you get the certificate delayed for your actions? What is it you have in the brain ?
