Canon mx492 WiFi Setup Home / Office, review.

This tutorail exlains how to connect your canon printer to your home wifi network.
Follow these easy steps:_
1- Switch on your home wifi network, router.
2- switch on printer and press copy button then setup button.
3- press ok for wireless lan setup.
4- press stop button
5-look for standard setup and press ok
6- look for the name of your network and just press ok button and enter the password and it will connect to your wifi network.

I got this printer last year. when it works, it works really well. But I would rather be struck by lighting instead of setting it up. I've setup many things in my life and this is by far the worst. I wouldn't wish these struggles upon my worst enemy. I've spent 2 hours trying to set it up and nothing the manual or app says to do works. Now I am going to become increasingly depressed because this printer makes me feel incompetent. Thank you canon.

Press Tone* once for UPPERCASE

Best one I see. Many have had issue with this printer. I have not and I have a few. Maybe one day I will. I have worked on electronics since the 80s is why I may understand a bit more. So, far as the wifi set this is the best and simple video I seen. It does work indeed. Now to the password which is long on most standard wifi boxes to most. Most contain numbers and abc and or A, b, c. Caps. Press this on the printer- * just above tone. It will change all you need to do for caps and numbers to lower case. Each press does something. When you get the hang of it such is not so hard. Press that button above TONE....
