I just fired my stove up last night for the first time! Sarah was cold 🥶, stay tuned for the video! I love that you sift out the charcoal… I’ve thought about doing it but never knew if it would make all that much of a difference in starting. Instead I give all my ash to my friend for his chickens… When cleaning mine out I often leave a little pile of coals in the center for this exact reason! I have a little propane torch with a neck on it as well I use it to light my big green egg and stove, what a game changer!

Like the comment about thanksgiving. Do you think they'll keep coming around?

I roll up newspapers in toilet paper rolls and dip the ends in melted wax. Great fire starters. And I’ve used paper egg cartons filled with dryer lint and then wax. They work great as well.

I still think there’s no better heat than wood. And you get exercise, very important. Great video Tony

P.S. I have to assume with your voice that your day job must be doing voice overs and radio work. Lol

Tony have you ever used your boiler as the fire source to make homemade charcoal in a small drum placed in the boiler?
