"You know you're in trouble when people stop listening to sad music, because the moment that people stop listening to sad music, they don't want to know any more, they're turning themselves off"
- Thom Yorke

I like this more than the album version. The drums on the album distract from the way the rhythm of the keys and his vocals weave together. This is beautiful.

I don't think Thom Yorke has realised the magnitude of his own masterpiece he just played. You can tell by the way he walks out the room as if it was another day in the office.
Maybe he had no time to analyse

Gets me out of a depression this one. Helps me sing. Realize I'm troubled. Releasing it with the song.

I had totally forgotten about this video. I often watch these clips of him doing acoustic sets and don't realize I've started crying by the end of them. Nothing moves me like his voice does. Nothing. Nigel needs to convince him to do an acoustic release. Especially now. As he ages, his voice has even more of a fragility to it. It would be magnificent.

Terrific, more powerful with just him and the piano than the original I think

The casual walkout gets me everytime. Thoms too cool for this planet.

Thank god for Radiohead and Thom Yorke

I'm firmly convinced that Thom has communication with something otherworldly. No one else writes anything like this.

No taking away from Johnny either. But I think Thom is the conduit and Johnny is just a great musician who can channel what Thom is talking about.

When I get to heaven I'll be listening to Thom for eternity

There's an incredibly subtle reverb/echo effect on this vocal that is so well done.

A self-fulfilling prophecy of endless possibility
In rolling reams across a screen
In algebra, in algebra
The fences that you cannot climb

The sentences that do not rhyme
In all that you can ever change
I'm the one you're looking for

It gets you down
It gets you down

There's no spark
You've no light in the dark

It gets you down
It gets you down
You traveled far
What have you found
That there's no time
There's no time
To analyse
To think things through
To make sense

Like candles in the city, they never looked so pretty
By power cuts and blackouts
Sleeping like babies

It gets you down
It gets you down
You're just playing a part
You're just playing a part

You're playing a part
Playing a part
And there's no time
There's no time
To analyse
