Two things are boiling my blood in ZBrush. One is inability to freehand cut hole with otherwise fantastic knife tool and other is... everything related to scale. Its like reaching with right hand to left pocket - unnecessary weird. I hope I can live long enough to see NORMAL scale. That you set scale in whatever unit you want to work and thats it. And if you want to check size - just like in Maya you push ctrl+t and you...see the size. Not some ridiculous questionnaire "so what do you think your object is closest to..". Come on. ZBrush rocks but this aspect of it sucks for years now.

Thank you for this tips. I would love to understand what happen when exporting a ZBrush file in .obj to another software like Blender, why the scale is not the same even after follow the steps on this tutorial? Thank you!

Thanks for the tutorial Ian. I have a question. After you set the scale in scale master, do you still have to use 3d print exporter for your model? What is the advantage or disadvantage of using 3d print exporter compared to scale master? Thanks. :)

Please make this work synchronized with 3D Print hub (also Plugins menu) and Export Scale (Tools menu). It's really a mess. In love with ZB almost 20 years now, but setting the units to work is often such a headache.
