Losing jobs, last time I googled it USA company's are outsourcing 14.2 million jobs. That's 14.2 million people that don't contribute taxes. State, federal, social security and so on. Maybe these companies should be taxed for every job sent out of the country.

We don't need 18 wheelers flying down the road into oncoming traffic with no one behind the wheel.

Driverless trucks going berserk on the road, we're all screwed!

There's one problem all companies forget, basic fukin fundamentals of market economy. If no-one has a job and no-one gets paid, WHO THE F IS GONNA BUY YOUR PRODUCTS?!

They need to ask all of us, tax paying public that pay for the roads, if we want these huge machines on the same roads with us without anyone driving them.

The problem plaguing Toyota is that they're looking at cars as software instead of hardware. They focus so much on integrated systems and tech features that mechanical quality control gets short shrift.

Driverless trucks will not work especially in Canada. Road markings disappear in many provinces with harsh weather, eco road paint, and snow covered surfaces, and white out conditions.

Nobody is looking at anything but their smartphones and that's it. Everybody is social mediaing and not looking around them seeing the down fall of everything too wrapped up if they got a like to something stupid they've posted is all they're interested in.
As a retired Truck Driver with 25yrs of experience this hits home to me and it will be devastating to the country and nobody's looking at the end out come just short term not long term.

Driverless trucks 😂😂😂😂😂, I am a retired big rig driver, being a trucky is actually like being a problem solver, because every single day different problems crop up that you as a driver have to deal with.
In Australia we have some driverless mining vehicles, but they are on a set route and they are monitored constantly.
Imagine a big rig with no driver, it gets a flat tyre, you get road detours due to all manner of reasons, you get obstructions on the road from animals to fallen trees, break downs, bridge and road axle weight restrictions, and then there's just dealing with other crazy drivers on the road,
Sometimes freight shifts or needs securing on route .
And a truck being driven by a What could possibly go wrong 😂😂😂😂 .

I don't see any insurance will ever insure truck without driver. The liability is just out of proportion.

There have already been accidents with the driverless trucks even with drivers in them to supervise

Just look at the endless parking lots full of unsold vehicles from 1, 2, 3 or more years ago!!!
There are hundreds of thousands of vehicles parked that are rotting away because they will never be sold.
The majority of workers don't make that kind of money.
Rent, food, medical and communication are the main expenses and then transportation, weather it be personal, public or walk/bike.

Well said… and good wisdom in your words.

About 8 years ago, as I was waiting in line to cash my check, the bank manager came to and said, “ if you want to cash your check, you can use that machine right there.”
I looked at the machine she was pointing at. Then I asked, “so, that machine will do the tellers work?”
After she said it would, I said “I’ll just wait in line. I won’t support a machine that’s going to take jobs.”

Greedy people just never have enough. And they don’t seem to mind if others suffer, so they can have more.
