When people think of socialization often times we think it means dogs playing with one another. But for us at Grassroots K9 that’s not what it means. For us we want dogs that can be socially neutral with other dogs so they don’t become over stimulated simply by the presence of another dog.

I was lucky mines very good with other dogs. One thing i noticed though is mine understands “nicely” or if i say his name in context and the tone of hey stop messing about he adjusts his level of play or interaction with another dog, within reason obviously. I guess this all depends on the relationship and understanding, nicely comes from mine being a pain with his puppy biting so i taught him to bite “nicely” and i guess thats carried over in his brain to nicely means im being too much calm down.
