He mentioned in the past he didn't write a unit test; hence why the code was bad. I was brought up to write a unit test (we called them drivers) to test your code. Most of it was driver/compiler/embedded level. The code had to work, no errors.

The point is Junit test was out there more than 10 years... so you definitely could do unit testing but with Spring it is easier because the important principle is decoupling.
Therefore, the code was bad is their problem not because cannot test. It is just harder to write test cases and need to code better.

what is difference b/w microservices and OSGI?
i hv worked on Rest services and Apache felix before nd i don't understand whether microservices r successor of OSGI,
