After a tough time with the short stick, I try a new putter from TaylorMade Golf. The TaylorMade Spider Tour Range 2023 to see if it gives me more stability across the greens. Are these the best putters of 2023?

I purchased the Spider GTX last year and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! The alignment aid really does help especially when there might be distractions on the course!! They are GAMERS!

The Wilson 8802 blade is a classic. It looks so much better, but that’s the point Al…. It’s a thing of beauty to be looked at, not to actually be used. 😂
Having said that, I don’t want my putter to look like an alien spaceship from Galaga, so no TM spider for me. Stick to my Cobra anser-style blade with the SIK face technology 👍👍

As a real middle aged man I’ve tried them all since my first ‘Itsy-Bitsy’ and I always go back to the original Spider shape (had a red one with double bend and still have a black one with slant). We’re all different but the only thing that I’ve tried that has been close is my Toulon Las Vegas (the 7). Ps. I love your light hearted take on the reviews, after all for most of us it’s still only a game!

I fear “WILSON!” is destined to become a wall hanger. I switched to a Spider earlier this year. Game changer. I suspect one will sneak into your bag sometime soon, and let’s be honest, that’s better than underneath your toilet seat.

I've watched your videos and seen the problems you've had with putting. I've also had the putting woes and have tried the ODYSSEY WHITE HOT OG PUTTER #7, Cleveland Huntington Beach putter, Odyssey White Hot OG Stroke Lab Putter and even a ODYSSEY Broom stick putter, so you could say that my putting was horrible and accounted for most of my shots out on the course. What I tried eventually was to use an old putter I had from 40 years ago and have it extended so I could stand more straighter (I'm 6'4") and see the line of the putt without having to bend over. This has changed things big time and the cost was minimal. Well that's my putting story and good luck with yours. :)

I love my 2018 TM Spider Tour Red. It was the only year they offered it in a center shaft. I also have a center shaft Ben Hogan Bettinardi BHB12 HK The Hawk that feels every bit as comfortable as the Spider. Both have the Super Stroke PistolGrip 1.0. Too bad the current Spider line has no center shaft option. You really should get the nice folks at Holywood to give you a putter fitting. Would make for great content.

Love your work Alex, Work??? Anyway, you've a funny bugger. Sorry, forgot, 8.40 12 th of the 10th from Queensland , Oz . I have an older Spider that looks like it's from Star Trek discards . The feel, consistency of the stroke is brilliant. I love it! Quick question, how can I get an average handicap as I don't play any competition golf , I can't afford membership Anywhere . But now been playing 3 times a week for the last 2 years and average around 85 for 18 . Cheers big ears, when ya coming back to OZ ??

I have a circa 1985 McGregor Muirfield Jack Nicklaus putter with leather grip, looks like your Wilson but I can’t afford to add that many shots on the green so have had to change it. I still like a blade style or medium mallet though.
