Why are doctors being attacked in India? | How to save our doctors? | An Open Letter

In the recent months, we have seen our doctors being hounded, heckled and attacked. The attacks on doctors are largely the result of govt not doing their jobs properly and highly greedy businessmen running healthcare system.

In this video, I have talked about the rise in attacks on doctors, the reason behind this rise and what do experts suggest as some of the possible solutions.

My mother and sister are both doctors and they deal with disrespect every day, even though they are extremely caring people and regularly volunteer to help needy people. This is unacceptable and the harshest crime for harming a doctor should be implemented.

The hospital management and local administration should be blamed and doctors should not be heckled.

Attacks on doctors and medical staff are shocking and disturbing. However the medical system (not individual doctors) is to blame for it to some extent. We all know how heavily commercialised it has become. When you become the "seller" of a commodity the backlash from dissatisfied "customers " is inevitable. I remember from my childhood when the doctor was a family friend and respected neighbour. Today that class of doctors has disappeared.

One of my father's friend died due to covid a few days ago and the private hospital charged them a hell amount of 17 lakh ruppeess... Taali kabhi bhi ek haath se nhi bajti hai . I know doctors are doing their best but most of the cases, the patients died due to lack of basic care only... That is why families members are getting angry when they lose their loved ones just because of absence of even basic care

One of the solution to check the attack on doctors is that government should fixed rate of normal bed, ICU beds, ventilator beds, oxygen beds in private hospital 👍👍😊😊🙏🙏
