There was so much potential to go forward with a sequel to this movie, I'm always gonna consider Universal not giving Dracula Untold a sequel one of their biggest fumbles ever 🤦

People can say what they want. This movie was highly underrated and unappreciated for what it told and did. I hope to see a sequel one day.

One of my favorite movie quotes ever is from this movie ' "Sometimes the world doesn't need a hero, it needs a monster."
Awesome.

They fumbled not giving this movie a sequel. It’s still the best vampire movie I’ve watched over a dozens. The ending scene kept us hanging for over 8 years

I've seen so many Dracula movies, and I love the old B&W. The Mummy, Frankenstein, and Dracula in every form imaginable. Love them all. I didn't think anything could beat Bram Stokers' Dracula starring Anthony Hopkins, Keanu Reeves, and so many other incredible actors. But Dracula Untold for the first time really explores the ledged, and the time in which he lived. Really made him deeply human.

I honestly think if they were to start a monsterverse now, it would do very well. Superhero fatigue is actually setting in and people are looking for something new.

A sequel has to be made soon because Charles Dance is utterly magnificent in the role of the Master Vampire.

I’d sign a petition for universal to make a sequel to Dracula untold, I love this movie.

Gaius Ceasar, better known by his nickname Caligula. As for how the Master knew of Vlad, he couldn't physically leave the cave himself but he can "borrow" the eyes of bats, wolves, and other beasts, and they have no problem getting around.

This is so awesome how it ties into Stokers Dracula with Gary Oldman. Also, the master vampire told Vlad that he would call upon him to help him kill the one that initially cursed him so Vlad is not a reincarnation. The master vampire has come to collect on the promise Vlad made to help him in exchange for his power.

A couple things to know based on what you said, which was great:

1. Vlad was probably slower due to the fact that he's starved for blood.

2. Vlad wasn't effected by the cross even after he drank blood. I believe that this is due to the fact he became a vampire to protect his people vs. his followers who likely drank for revenge.

3. Regarding how he knew so luch about Vlad is that he's a well known killer, killing thousands of innocent people. The master vampire likely hesrd these things from people near the vicinity of the cave since he has super hearing and also you mention control over creatures of the night light bats. They may have gathered information and brought it to him.

This is starting to become my favorite channel. There aren’t many people that love to sit down and talk about monster lore.

I'm sure the Master Vampire was indeed talking about the demon. He mentions that he wants to take revenge on the one who "turned him", and the demon truly "betrayed" him, because that's what usually happens in stories where someone makes a deal with the devil. He said that he would eventually call upon Vlad for his help in his revenge as a pawn in "an immortal game of revenge", which tells me that the one who he is talking about is immensely powerful and immortal.

The Master said to Vlad- 'then one day I will call on you my pawn, to serve me, in this immortal game'.
I think he was following Vlad, not to kill him, but needed him for his revenge on whoever betrayed him.

I hope one day they realize their mistake and continue this movie. The actor who played Dracula is the best version of him I have ever seen and true to his real world origins.

Dracula Untold is my second favorite version of Dracula. Bram wrote the best. The Dark Universe had so much potential. Dracula Untold and Wolfman were so good

I've noticed the Master has a lot of similarities to the ancient greek monster Vrykolakas. Both are undead, both resemble a zombie, both are the result of a restless soul seeking something greater than a normal life. And, if my memory is not mistaken, the Master was a Roman emperor. Maybe in-universe the Master inspired the myth of the Vrykolakas.

There should have been a sequel. This version of vlad/Dracula being a powerful vampire but also a man of faith was such an interesting concept that it would have been interesting to see how that developed. His wife being reincarnated into the modern-day could be like god giving vlad another chance at love as well as seeing how he could own the vampire curse and perhaps use it for good. It would have been very cool to see him interact with the female mummy and later monsters. The entire idea of a dark universe vaguely similar to the mcu would have been cool. Too bad tom cruise had to ruin it all.

Fun fact, the character of the "Master Vampire" was initially supposed to be Caligula in the script. Caligula the Roman Emperor. For some reason they changed it, or he is still Caligula and they decided to just not use his name in the movie. I remember because I was following this movie before it came out, I remember when I was so hyped for it back in the day.
